Impulsive behavior can be seen everywhere in the daily life, but impulsivity as a unhealthy behavior, is closely related to addictive behavior and it can play the role of prediction, as well as its social, psychological and behavioral problems have caused extensive concern. This article will summarize the research results according to different scholars, and introduce the definition, characteristics, measurement and the classical paradigm of impulsivity, focus on emotion and personality in the impulsive psychological and nerve mechanism, and review previous achievements in order to provide new ideas for further research.
