【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effect of network education on self-management ability and psychological state of patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR). Methods Totally 120 patients with NPDR were randomly divided into observation group and control group (n=60). The control group received routine health education,the observation group received network education on the basis of the control group for 6 months.The scores of self-management ability scale,HAMA and HAMD scale were evaluated,the progress of the disease were compared between the two groups. Results After education,the scores of self-management ability scale in the two groups were significantly increased,and the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); the scores of HAMA and HAMD were significantly decreased,and the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05);the disease progression rate was 5.00% in the observation group, significantly lower than 20.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of network education can improve the effect of health education for NPDR patients,which can improve their psychological state and enhance the self - management ability,so as to delay the progress of the disease.
