[Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of antipsychotic drugs combined with small dose of magnesium valproate on schizophrenia and the effects on BDNF and GDNF levels. Methods during July 2015 -2016 year in June in our hospital 68 cases schizophrenia patients, according to randomly divided into control group and study group, the control group using antipsychotic drug treatment, the study group using antipsychotics combined with small dose of magnesium valproate in the treatment of more than two, the treatment effect and to observe the effects of BDNF and GDNF levels in the serum of patients with. Results by using different methods of treatment, after treatment, the study group and the control group with the treatment efficiency were 94.1%, 73.5%, the study group was significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.05); two groups of patients before treatment MOAS score no significant difference (P > 0.05), after the completion of treatment were reduced and the study group was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05); two groups of patients before treatment the serum BDNF and GDNF levels have no significant difference (P > 0.05), after the completion of treatment, were elevated, study group was significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion antipsychotics combined with small dose of magnesium valproate in the treatment of schizophrenia, can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of the patients, control of aggressive behavior, improve the serum BDNF, GDNF levels, the treatment effect is more obvious, it is worthy of promotion and application.
