【Objective】To provide a scientific basis for studying the epidemiology of mental health in Xinjiang and developing corresponding prevention and treatment programs.【Methods】Data of 53174 psychiatric institutions in Xinjiang from 2003 to 2014 meeting admission requirements were collected. Relevant indicators were analyzed and the input and demand of their work were compared.【Results】Male patients accounted for 54.2%; married patients accounted for 60.3%; with the increase of the number and number of hospitalizations, medical expenses, hospitalization days showed a downward trend; the annual growth rate of total government health investment was 21.30%, the annual growth rate of total mental health investment was 11.97%, and the annual growth rate of special funds was - 12.71%. 【Conclusions】The demand of inpatients with mental illness in a city of Xinjiang has increased, and the governments attention to mental health needs to be strengthened..
