Objective To analyze the effect of flupirtine and melitracen in elderly patients with diabetic gastrointestinal dysfunction and anxiety and depression. Methods A total of 109 elderly patients with diabetic gastrointestinal dysfunction and anxiety and depression were enrolled in our hospital by random number table method. 54 patients in the control group were treated with mecobalamin, trimebutine and Clostridium butyricum conjugated live capsules. In group, 55 patients were treated with oral flupirtine and melitracen. The serum factor levels, anxiety and depression, quality of life, clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The 5-HT level, SF-36 score and total effective rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The MPO level, HAMA and HAMD scores were lower than the control group (P<0.05), and the incidence of adverse events was higher than that of the control group (P>0.05). Conclusions Flurazine thiophene can effectively improve the anxiety and depression of elderly patients with diabetic gastrointestinal dysfunction and anxiety and depression. Combined with conventional treatment, it can effectively control the disease condition, improve the quality of life, improve symptoms and signs, and have good safety.
