Objective: To explore the mental depression of end-stage renal disease patients receiving hemodialysis and its influencing factors. Methods: 90 cases of patients with end-stage renal disease who received hemodialysis in our hospital from November 2018 to November 2019 were retrospectively selected. According to CES-D scores, they were divided into two groups: mental depression group (≥ 16 points, n = 40) and non mental depression group (< 16 points, n = 50). The general information, self-conscious symptoms, smoking and drinking of the two groups were statistically analyzed, and the influencing factors of mental depression in dialysis patients were performed by multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: Among the 90 cases of patients, 40 cases were mental depression and 50 cases were non mental depression. The incidence of mental depression was 80.0%. The proportion of no work of the mental depression group was significantly higher (P < 0.05), the proportion of normal work was significantly lower (P < 0.05), the proportions of no fixed income and personal monthly income were significantly higher (P < 0.05), the proportions of 2000-4000 yuan and more than 4000 yuan was significantly lower (P < 0.05), the incidence of abdominal distention and discomfort was significantly higher (P < 0.05), the proportion of good sleep quality was significantly lower than the non mental depression group (P < 0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of mental depression in hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease included personal monthly income and sleep quality (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of mental depression in patients with end-stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis is high, the influencing factors include personal monthly income and sleep quality.
