Objective To explore the effects of dialectical behavior therapy on social function and stigma in patients with schizophrenia in remission period. Methods Sixty patients with schizophrenia in remission were selected. Randomly divided into two groups, control group of 30 cases, the routine antipsychotics and entertainment treatment. In the experimental group, 30 patients were given dialectical behavior therapy intervention based on drug and entertainment therapy (60 minutes twice a week, 8 times in total). The positive and negative symptom scale (PANSS), social function rating scale for hospitalized chronic schizophrenia (SSSI), stigma rating scale for psychiatric patients, and quality of life scale for schizophrenics (SQLS) were used to evaluate the intervention effect. Results There were significant differences in the scores of SSSI, SQLS and stigma between the experimental group and the control group（t=-9.53,p<0.01；t=-13.20,p<0.01；t=-7.16,p<0.01）. There was no significant difference in psychiatric symptoms between the two groups (P>0.05) . Conclusion Dialectical behavior therapy can effectively reduce the stigma of schizophrenia patients and restore their social function.
