Objective With the continuous development of medical technology and the increasing complexity of operating room nursing tasks, the application of teamwork in operating room nursing has become particularly important. This paper aims to explore the role of teamwork in enhancing the efficiency of operating room nursing, in hopes of providing a reference for improving the quality of operating room nursing. Methods This study employs a combined quantitative and qualitative research method. The operating room nursing team of our hospital was selected as the research subject, and data was collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The questionnaire included self-assessment and peer-assessment of team collaboration abilities; observations recorded the actual operation of the operating room nursing team; interviews gathered team members opinions and suggestions on teamwork. Results After implementing teamwork, the surgical success rate significantly increased, and patient satisfaction was also enhanced. Teamwork effectively reduced the incidence of surgical complications and improved the quality of patient recovery. Team collaboration made nursing services more meticulous and considerate, leading to a continuous increase in patient satisfaction with nursing services. Conclusion This study demonstrates that teamwork has significant application value in operating room nursing, effectively improving surgical success rates, reducing the incidence of complications, and enhancing the quality of nursing services. When implementing teamwork, it is important to strengthen communication skills training among team members to overcome potential issues that may arise in the collaboration process.
