Objective Study the clinical characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis patients with long-term hemoptysis and pulmonary cavities complicated by fungal infection. Methods Select 50 patients with long-term hemoptysis cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with fungal infection admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 as the research subjects, and analyze the clinical manifestations and related factors of pulmonary tuberculosis accompanied by fungal infection. Results Among the 50 patients, the majority had recurrent hemoptysis, accompanied by cavity formation and pulmonary fungal infection. Among them, 2 cases (4.00%) had unilateral lung damage, and 7 cases (14.00%) had a small amount of pleural effusion. The duration of the patients illness, the duration of broad-spectrum antibiotic use, the duration of glucocorticoid treatment, and the frequency of treatment are factors that affect the occurrence of fungal infection in hemoptysis cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Long term hemoptysis with cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis complicated by pulmonary fungal infection is influenced by factors such as the length of the disease course, long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics and glucocorticoids, and re treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
