Objective To observe the effect of Wentong Sanyu Pill combined with Aitongning gel plaster on the quality of life of cancer pain patients. Methods Ninety patients with moderate to severe cancer pain who received treatment in our hospital from January 2023 to August 2024 were randomly divided into a treatment group (45 cases) and a control group (45 cases). All patients were treated with tramadol sustained-release tablets to relieve pain. The treatment group was additionally treated with Wentong Sanyu Pill combined with Aitongning gel plaster for meridians. The pain anxiety SAS score, health status KPS score, pain NRS score and adverse reaction rate of the two groups were observed and compared. Results There was a statistically significant difference in SAS scores between the two groups after treatment, and the pain relief in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05); Compared with the control group, the health status of the treatment group was significantly better, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the treatment group and the control group, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Wentong Sanyu pill combined with Aitongning gel plaster can not significantly improve the pain of patients with cancer pain compared with opioids, but it can significantly improve the symptoms and psychological anxiety, which is worth further large-scale clinical observation and experimental pharmacological research.
