Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of using cetirizine hydrochloride combined with calcium gluconate, vitamin C, and other treatments in patients with acute and chronic urticaria. Methods 76 patients with acute and chronic urticaria admitted between June 2022 and June 2023 were included and divided into a control group (supplemented with calcium gluconate and vitamin C) and an observation group (treated with cetirizine hydrochloride), with 38 cases in each group, according to the treatment method. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in clinical symptom scores between the two groups before intervention. After treatment, the clinical symptom scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). And comparing the adverse reactions of the two groups of medication, the adverse reactions in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination therapy of cetirizine hydrochloride, calcium gluconate, and vitamin C can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with acute and chronic urticaria, and the medication safety is relatively high.
