Objective To analyze the value of implementing cognitive-behavioral therapy in community rehabilitation for patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 98 patients with schizophrenia admitted to our hospital were selected for a group controlled study (period from August 2023 to August 2024). All patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 49 patients in each group. The control group received routine treatment and rehabilitation, while the observation group received cognitive-behavioral therapy on this basis. Based on the comprehensive evaluation of cognitive function, mental symptoms, and quality of life, the intervention effects of two groups were evaluated. Results After the intervention, the positive and negative symptom scale (PANSS) scores in the observation group decreased compared to the control group, while the concise cognitive function assessment scale (BACS) scores in schizophrenia increased compared to the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the quality of life scale (SQLS) scores of schizophrenia patients in the observation group decreased compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing cognitive-behavioral therapy in community rehabilitation for patients with schizophrenia can help improve cognitive function and mental symptoms, and enhance their quality of life.
