Objective To study the value of probiotics combined with quadruple therapy in Helicobacter pylori positive chronic gastritis. Methods Sixty patients with Helicobacter pylori positive chronic gastritis who were admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to September 2024 were selected and divided into the study group and the control group by the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with quadruple therapy, while the study group was treated with probiotics combined with quadruple therapy. The treatment lasted for 2 consecutive weeks. The therapeutic effects, improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms and inflammatory indicators of the two groups of patients were evaluated and compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group. The GSRS scores of the study group after 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment were lower than those of the control group. After treatment, the levels of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8 in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of patients with Helicobacter pylori positive chronic gastritis with probiotics combined with quadruple therapy can effectively improve the therapeutic effect, promote the improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms and the control of inflammation in patients, and has a high application value.
