Objective Analyze the role of the MEWS scoring system in emergency care plans for patients with multiple injuries. Methods Data of 55 patients with multiple injuries admitted to the emergency department of our hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were collected. During this period, routine emergency nursing was used as the control group (n=55 cases). Further collect data from 55 patients with multiple injuries between January 2024 and December 2024. During this period, emergency care plans based on the MEWS scoring system were used as the observation group (n=55 cases). Compare the occurrence of adverse events, emergency rescue time, and degree of deterioration of the condition between two groups of patients. Results The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the time spent on emergency rescue was significantly shorter than that in the control group, and the number of patients whose condition did not worsen was also significantly less, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the MEWS scoring system in emergency nursing for patients with multiple injuries can reduce the likelihood of adverse events, decrease the degree of disease deterioration, and shorten the emergency rescue time, achieving good application results and worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
