Objective To analyze the application effect of CT three-dimensional reconstruction in the diagnosis and treatment of intertrochanteric fractures of the femur. Methods A total of 53 experimental subjects were included in this study, all of whom were patients with intertrochanteric fractures who received treatment at the hospital from March 2023 to March 2025. All included subjects underwent X-ray examination and CT three-dimensional reconstruction examination, and the actual intraoperative results were used as reference standards to compare the diagnostic efficacy of the two examination methods in fracture end stability and cortical continuity. Results CT three-dimensional reconstruction showed higher accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity in diagnosing fracture stability than X-ray examination (P<0.05). In terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity in the diagnosis of cortical continuity, CT three-dimensional reconstruction is higher than X-ray examination (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of CT three-dimensional reconstruction in the diagnosis and treatment of intertrochanteric fractures of the femur can significantly improve the diagnostic efficiency of fracture end stability and cortical continuity.
