Objective To explore the clinical significance and value of pain nursing intervention in patients with postherpetic neuralgia. Methods A total of 60 patients with postherpetic neuralgia admitted to our hospital were selected as the research subjects, and these patients were divided into control group (including 30 cases, receiving routine nursing measures) and experimental group (including 30 cases, with pain care intervention) according to the principle of random assignment. Systematic data collection, analysis and comparative evaluation of the nursing effectiveness of the two groups of patients were conducted. Results Compared with the control group, the pain level score and sleep quality score of the patients in the experimental group were significantly reduced, and the performance of the experimental group in improving the quality of life was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of pain nursing interventions for patients with postherpetic neuralgia can significantly reduce their pain feelings, improve their sleep status and quality of life, and show extraordinary application results in clinical practice.
