Objective To explore the impact of midwifery combined with family companionship nursing on the delivery mode, postpartum depression, and adverse delivery events of primiparous women. Methods 80 primiparous women admitted to our hospital from October 2023 to October 2024 were selected as the research sample. They were randomly divided into a reference group and an experimental group, with 40 cases in each group. The reference group received routine nursing care, while the experimental group received midwifery combined with home care on the basis of routine nursing care. Compare the delivery methods, postpartum depression, and incidence of adverse delivery events between the two groups. Results The natural delivery rate of the experimental group was significantly higher, and the cesarean section rate and vaginal delivery rate were significantly lower (P<0.05); The incidence of postpartum depression and adverse delivery events in the experimental group was significantly lower (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of midwives and family companionship nursing can significantly improve the natural delivery rate of primiparous women, reduce the incidence of postpartum depression and adverse delivery events, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
