Objective To explore the effect of combining video cases with scene simulation on the teaching quality and effect of undergraduate clinical nursing teaching interns. Methods Fifty undergraduate interns who participated in clinical nursing teaching activities in our hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected and divided into control group (25 students with traditional teaching method) and observation group (25 students with video case + scenario simulation method) according to odd-even method. The two groups of interns were compared before and after teaching in the core skills of nurses (CIRN/ China Registered Nurses Core Competence Assessment Scale), theoretical knowledge assessment results, clinical nursing practice assessment results, and interns satisfaction with the teaching mode. Results After teaching, the CIRN nurse core skill scores, theoretical assessment scores and clinical nursing practice assessment scores of the interns in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the interns satisfaction with the teaching mode was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion In undergraduate clinical nursing teaching activities, the teaching method of combining video cases with scene simulation can improve the core nursing skills of interns, improve their theoretical and practical assessment results and satisfaction, and has popularization value.
