Objective To explore the application effects of comprehensive nursing in the treatment of patients with epidemic acute keratoconjunctivitis. Methods A total of 37 patients with epidemic acute keratoconjunctivitis admitted between March 2024 and March 2025 were selected, and they were randomly divided into an observation group (18 cases) and a control group (19 cases) using a random number table method. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received comprehensive nursing. The effectiveness of the two nursing models was compared and analyzed. Results Compared to the control group, the quality of care and patient compliance in the observation group significantly improved, anxiety levels decreased more markedly, the incidence of complications during treatment was lower, visual acuity recovery scores were higher, and quality of life was significantly improved, with statistically significant differences between the groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing comprehensive nursing interventions in the treatment of patients with epidemic acute keratoconjunctivitis can effectively enhance the overall quality of clinical nursing services, increase patients physical and mental comfort, improve patient cooperation with treatment, reduce the incidence of complications, improve visual function recovery, and significantly enhance patients quality of life.
