Objective To explore the effect of prospective investigation in new practice nurses. Methods Fifty nurses who practiced in the first Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery in Wuhu Second Peoples Hospital, Affiliated to East China Normal University from January 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the research objects, and randomly divided into prospective investigation innovative teaching group (25 cases) and traditional teaching group (25 cases). In the teaching of specialized nursing, the traditional teaching group uses the teaching contents in the weekly teaching schedule to carry out theoretical teaching and clinical practice. According to the results of the investigation, the innovative teaching group adopted the method of individualized teaching combined with weekly teaching plan. Before the practice nurses of both groups were discharged, the basic theoretical knowledge and operational skills of their specialties were assessed, and the teaching satisfaction of the two methods was investigated by questionnaire. Results The theoretical and operational test scores of the prospective investigation innovative teaching group were significantly higher than those of the traditional teaching group (P<0.05), and the satisfaction scores of the prospective investigation innovative teaching group were significantly higher than those of the traditional teaching group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the clinical nursing teaching of the first department of hepatobiliary surgery, the prospective investigation and innovative teaching method is more effective than the traditional teaching method, which not only improves the teaching effect and teaching satisfaction, but also stimulates the learning interest and enthusiasm of practice nurses, and has the value of further promotion.
