Objective To explore the application effect of nursing quality control in the nursing of patients with indwelling urinary catheter in neurology department. Methods A total of 88 patients with indwelling urinary catheters in the Department of Neurology were selected from January 2023 to December 2023. They were randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table method. There were 44 patients in the observation group and 44 patients in the control group. They were given nursing care respectively. Quality control and usual care, comparing urine infection rates and satisfaction with care. Results The incidence of urinary tract infection in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, which was 4.55% and 20.45% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P < 0.05). The scores of various nursing satisfaction indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was significant. （P＜0.05）. Conclusion The application of nursing quality control in patients with indwelling urinary catheters in the Department of Neurology has achieved remarkable results in reducing the incidence of urinary tract infection and improving patient satisfaction, and it is worthy of promotion.
