Risperidone is a common and effective atypical antipsychotics in psychiatric department with the characteristics of good curative effect, few side effects and good tolerance. However, there were significant individual differences in risperidone drug reactions. Genetic factors play an important role in the individual differences of risperidone response. Pharmacogenomics may be used to guide clinical rational drug use, improve patients medication compliance, reduce adverse drug reactions, and achieve the purpose of optimizing the therapeutic effect of risperidone. Here, we summarized and analyzed the relationship between gene polymorphism of metabolism, transport, neurotransmitter receptor and risperidone drug reaction, and provided reference for the further study of risperidone individualized medication.
