Objective To explore the impact of communication and teamwork among operating room nurses on patient care quality, analyze related factors, and improve the overall level of operating room nursing. Methods A total of 80 surgical patients from May 2023 to May 2024 were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group. The control group received conventional operating room nursing care, while the experimental group, in addition to conventional care, strengthened communication and teamwork among nursing staff. The differences in surgical complication rates, patient satisfaction, and surgical turnover time between the two groups were compared. Results The incidence of surgery-related complications in the experimental group was significantly lower than in the control group, patient satisfaction was markedly higher, and surgical turnover time was significantly reduced compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Good communication and teamwork among operating room nurses can effectively improve patient care quality, reduce surgical complications, increase patient satisfaction, and enhance the efficiency of operating room work, which is worth widely promoting and further studying in clinical operating room nursing.
