[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the effect of perinatal health care on postpartum and psychological status of elderly pregnant women. Methods: 108 cases of elderly pregnant women in our hospital from January 2017 to January 2020 were selected and divided into two groups by single blind random sampling method. The reference group (54 cases) was given routine perinatal education, and the experimental group (54 cases) was given perinatal health care. The postpartum recovery index, SAS score, SDS score, GCQ score and the incidence of perinatal complications were compared between the two groups. Results: the first eating time, colostrum secretion time and uterine involution time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the reference group. The SAS score and SDS score of the experimental group after nursing were lower than those of the reference group. The GCQ score of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group. The incidence of perinatal complications in the experimental group (1.85%) was lower than that in the reference group (12.96%). The differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: perinatal health care can promote the recovery of elderly pregnant women after childbirth, reduce anxiety, depression and other adverse emotions, improve comfort, reduce the incidence of perinatal complications, which is worthy of promotion.
