The translation of central documents is one of the important ways for the Party and the State to publicize and explain Chinas image to the outside world. It has far-reaching significance for promoting the construction of international communication capabilities, letting the world hear Chinas voice, and showing a real, three-dimensional and comprehensive China. It plays a practical role in integrating China and foreign countries. The 20th National Congress Report embodies the essence of the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era and is a highly representative and typical central document. This paper uses the Russian translation of the 20th National Congress Report as the corpus, emphasizes the key role of the translator of central documents, and analyzes the principles of the translation of central documents: always maintain political sensitivity, be faithful to the text information, fully display Chinas ideas, and safeguard national sovereignty and interests; reasonably use language strategies, flexibly grasp language characteristics, transform logical thinking and language structure expression, and enhance the audiences recognition and acceptance; constantly improve their own cultural cultivation and professional cultivation, so as to create higher-quality translation texts, convey cultural information, promote civilization exchanges, and better complete the translation of central documents.
