Orwell’s Animal Farm is a classic work of great thought and literary quality, which endows animals with human nature and uses vivid allegories to reveal the abuse of power and social oppression and injustice. Translation aesthetics focuses on the aesthetic effect of translation, so this article takes translation aesthetics as a research perspective to analyze the linguistic artistry in the translation of Animal Farm by Kui Jingqiu. Starting from the three dimensions of phonetic layer, lexical layer, and syntactic layer, the study explores the aesthetic representation of the translated text in the formal system. Starting from the two dimensions of artistic conception and emotion, this study examines the aesthetic reproduction of translated texts in non-formal systems. The linguistic art of this work is not only reflected in its vivid portrayal of animal characters and allegorical plot construction but also in its profound revelation of the themes of power corruption and social inequality through ingenious satire and metaphor. During the translation process, the translator successfully conveys the satirical intent and deep meanings of the original work through precise word choice, sentence structure adjustment, and imagery transformation. The translation remains faithful to the original while also exhibiting unique linguistic beauty, providing a certain aesthetic approach for the translation of other English literary works into Chinese.
