摘要
美国华裔作家黄哲伦的戏剧《蝴蝶君》一直被视为对东方主义颠覆性解构的经典文本,在后现代主义视角下,围绕其展开了关于性别与文化、民族与国家、身份与认同等议题的讨论。作为一部戏剧杰作,其本身的戏剧创作手法却常常受到忽视。本文拟从间离效果、角色塑造、身份认同三个方面分析《蝴蝶君》“戏中戏”结构的作用效果。
Abstract
David Henry Hwangs play "M. Butterfly" has long been regarded as a classic text that subverts Orientalism. Under the postmodernist perspective, discussions have been held around it concerning gender and culture, ethnicity and nation, identity and recognition. As a dramatic masterpiece, its own dramatic creation techniques are often overlooked. This paper intends to analyze the effect of the "play within a play" structure in "M. Butterfly" from three aspects: alienation effect, character shaping, and identity recognition.
