| Abstract |
In the translation process of all literary genres, the translator is the subject, the most active part of the translation process, and also a pioneer in spreading national culture and exploring international culture. However, due to the cultural background differences between the two languages, the translator must become the core figure in the translation process, actively exert their subjective initiative, select appropriate translation techniques and methods based on the content of the article and its translation intention to explain the content of the work, and explore the culture and ideas that the author wants to express. Since the "cultural turn" in the second half of the 20th century, scholars in the translation field have emphasized the cultural background of the language and affirmed the importance of translators in the translation process. This article studies various types of translation from the perspective of functionalism, analyzing the role of translator subjectivity in selecting translation strategies, interpreting the connotation of the original work, and disseminating relevant culture in the translation process. It provides a deeper understanding of translator subjectivity and aims to expand related research and enrich the understanding of translator subjectivity.
