Abstract
As an essential component of national culture, Mount Tai culture boasts profound connotations and a time-honored legacy. Currently, AI translation represented by Doubao and DeepSeek has provided new pathways for its research and dissemination. Based on cultural translation theory, this paper conducts a multidimensional examination of AI-generated translations and human translations of Mount Tai cultural texts. Through comparative analysis across three dimensions - cultural dimension, linguistic dimension, communicative dimension - the author identifies the strengths and limitations of AI translation versus human translation in comprehending and conveying the cultural connotations of Mount Tai, while proposing corresponding suggestions. The study concludes that in English translation of Mount Tai cultural texts, AI translation demonstrates advantages in source text comprehension and linguistic fluency, yet human translation remains irreplaceable in rendering cultural connotations and language flexibility. Therefore, the author advocates combining the high efficiency of AI translation with the superior quality of human translation to facilitate the research and international dissemination of Mount Tai culture.
