This thesis focuses on the Japanese-Chinese translation practice of Ningbo, the Cultural Capital, and deeply analyzes the translation strategies for culture-loaded words and long sentences in the text based on the cultural translation representation theory. The selected translation text is rich in content, covering various aspects such as Ningbos geography, history, and cultural exchanges. The language is replete with historical and cultural proper nouns and specific expressions, providing typical corpus for translation research. The study shows that the alienation strategy is often adopted in the translation of socio-cultural loaded words to retain the cultural characteristics of the source language; the translation of language-cultural loaded words needs to balance faithfulness and readability, optimizing the expression of the target text. The translation of long sentences depends on structural adjustments, including techniques such as splitting sentences, adjusting word order, and supplementing omitted components, to ensure that the target text is logically clear and conforms to the Chinese expression habits. The cultural translation representation theory has proven to be quite effective in dealing with such texts, facilitating the effective transmission of cultural information.
