Objective to explore the effect of tic disorder on children and their parents life (study/work, interpersonal relationship, psychological state) and so on, to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: the data of children with tic disorder and their parents were collected and evaluated by filling out a questionnaire under the guidance of doctors. Results: in the influence on childrens lives, the interpersonal relationship was the least affected, learning was the second, and psychological state (emotion) was the most prominent. Whether the emotion was affected or not was related to the age of the children (P = 0.027); in the influence on parents life, the psychological state (emotion) was the most obvious. Whether parents life is affected or not is related to the parent-child relationship (P = 0.035); tic disorder affects parents anxiety, which is closely related to childrens performance (P = 0.006); at the same time, almost all parents are worried about adverse drug reactions. Conclusion: tic disorder has the most obvious effect on the emotion of children and their parents. Whether the parents life is affected is closely related to the parent-child relationship.
