[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the efficacy and safety of duloxetine hydrochloride enteric coated tablets and escitalopram oxalate in the treatment of senile depression. Methods: 90 patients with senile depression in our hospital from December 2018 to December 2020 were selected and divided into two groups according to the "random number table". 45 patients in the reference group were treated with escitalopram oxalate, and 45 patients in the observation group were treated with duloxetine hydrochloride enteric coated tablets. The clinical efficacy, HAMD score, serum ne, 5-HT, BDNF level, PSQI score and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared The incidence of stress should be increased. Results: the total effective rate (95.56%) and the incidence of adverse reactions (6.67%) in the observation group were compared with those in the reference group (93.33% and 8.89%), P > 0.05. The HAMD score and PSQI score of the observation group after treatment were compared with those of the control group, P>0.05. After treatment, the serum ne of the observation group was lower than that of the reference group, the serum 5-HT and BDNF of the observation group were higher than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: in the treatment of senile depression, duloxetine hydrochloride enteric coated tablets and escitalopram oxalate have similar antidepressant effect and lower incidence of adverse reactions, but duloxetine hydrochloride enteric coated tablets can better regulate serum ne, 5-HT and BDNF levels.
