Objective To explore the impact of continuity of care based on WeChat platform on the self-care ability and quality of life of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients discharged from the first radiotherapy. Methods Sixty patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma who were discharged from radiotherapy for the first time between January 2023 and January 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group (30 cases, receiving routine care) and an observation group (30 cases, receiving continuous care based on WeChat platform) using a numerical table. Compare the self-care ability, psychological state, and quality of life between two groups. Results After nursing care, the self-care ability and quality of life of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the SAS and SDS scores were lower than those of the control group. The difference in data between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Continuity of care based on WeChat platform can effectively improve the self-care ability and quality of life of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients discharged from the first radiotherapy, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
