Objective To analyze the medical significance of applying comprehensive nursing intervention in the clinical nursing plan for patients undergoing blood purification in the ICU. Methods Sixty patients who received blood purification treatment and were admitted to the ICU of the First Peoples Hospital of Yinchuan from October 2022 to October 2023 were divided into a control group of 30 cases receiving routine care and an observation group of 30 cases receiving comprehensive nursing intervention. The effectiveness of the nursing was compared using the ESCA self-care ability score, SF-36 quality of life score, etc., and the satisfaction score of the nursing was used to compare the recognition of the nursing by the two groups of patients. Results Before the nursing, there was no statistically significant difference in the nursing indicators (P > 0.05). However, after the nursing, the ESCA self-care ability score and SF-36 quality of life score of the observation group were higher, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After the nursing, the nursing satisfaction score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention has a positive impact on patients undergoing blood purification in the ICU, promoting the improvement of self-care awareness and skills, improving the quality of life of patients, benefiting patients, and providing a better nursing experience and recognition of the nursing service.
