Objective To analyze the current situation of the competence of nurses in the disinfection supply center of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Methods This study focuses on the nurses of the Disinfection Supply Center in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in November 2023, and uses the competency evaluation indicators for disinfection supply center nurses constructed by the Disinfection Supply Professional Committee of the Chinese Nursing Association in 2021 to conduct quantitative research. Conduct a survey by distributing an electronic version of the Disinfection Supply Center Nurse Job Competency Evaluation Scale, and explore the relevant factors that affect job competency through statistical analysis. Results A total of 277 questionnaires were collected from the study, and 42 questionnaires were screened out for staff members. Ultimately, 235 valid questionnaires were obtained. The average competency score of nurses in the Disinfection Supply Center of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is (4.18 ± 0.59) points. Conclusion The competence of nurses in Ningxia Disinfection Supply Center is steadily increasing, and job refinement continues. Overall ability is good, but there is room for improvement in professional depth, research and teaching, and career development.
