| Abstract |
Objective Headache is a common clinical disease, which seriously affects the physical and mental health and quality of life of patients. Although current Western medicine treatment can relieve some symptoms it has many adverse reactions and is prone to recurrence. As an important part of traditional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine nursing has shown unique advantages in nursing of various diseases. This study to deeply explore the specific application ways of traditional Chinese medicine nursing in patients with headache and systematically analyze its curative effect on pain relief of patients, so as to provide new scientific basis practice scheme for clinical nursing of headache. Methods A total of 120 patients with headache who visited our hospital from January 2022 to December 204 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into control group (60 cases) and experimental group (60 cases) by random number table method. The control patients received routine nursing, including condition observation, medication guidance, life nursing, etc. The experimental group patients were given routine nursing based on TCM nursing intervention measures, which specifically covered-differentiated nursing, the formulation of personalized nursing programs according to the different constitution and syndrome types of patients; acupuncture and massage, selecting specific acupoints for to unblock the meridians and harmonize the qi and blood; Chinese medicine conditioning, prescribing traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for oral administration or external use according to the syndrome results; emotional nursing, through psychological counseling, music therapy and other measures to relieve the adverse emotions of patients. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to assess the of pain in patients, and the frequency and duration of headache attacks were recorded, and the quality of life of patients was evaluated by the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36, and the satisfaction of patients with nursing work was evaluated by a self-made nursing satisfaction survey. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.3%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (76.67%) (P < 0.05). The frequency of headache attacks, the of pain (VAS score) and the duration of the experimental group patients were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). In terms quality of life, the scores of the experimental group patients in the dimensions of physical function, physical function, somatic pain, general health, vitality, social function, emotional function mental health were all significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction survey showed that the satisfaction of the experimental group patients with work was 95.00%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (80.00%) (P < 0.05) Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine nursing in patients with headache can significantly relieve the pain symptoms of patients, reduce the frequency and duration of headache attacks, improve the quality of of patients, and improve the satisfaction of patients with nursing work, which has high clinical application value and promotion prospects[1].
