Objective To analyze the value of using gourd moxibustion combined with acupoint application in the treatment of edema caused by spleen kidney deficiency in chronic kidney disease. Methods 80 patients with chronic kidney disease spleen kidney deficiency edema who visited our hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group of 40 patients (treated with diuretics) and an observation group of 40 patients (treated with gourd moxibustion combined with acupoint application), and the treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of patients (P > 0.05), while after treatment, 24-hour urine volume of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores was lower than that of the control group, with a significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion Application of bottle gourd moxibustion combined with acupoint patching in the treatment edema of spleen and kidney deficiency type of chronic kidney disease can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, such as limb swelling, lumbago, and fatigue, and reduce body retention, which is beneficial to patients.
