【Abstract】Objective: To explore the impact of short-term group intervention on self-experience burden, post-traumatic stress disorder and post-traumatic growth of the main caregivers of children with cerebral palsy. Methods: The main caregivers of 103 children with cerebral palsy during the hospitalization period from January 2018 to December 2020 in the Child Rehabilitation Department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected as the research objects. The envelope method was used to divide the caregivers of the children into two groups, with 51 cases in the control group. Conventional intervention was given to 52 cases in the observation group. Focused short-term group intervention was used to compare the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, post-traumatic growth, and self-experience burden of caregivers of children with cerebral palsy in the two groups. Results: After the intervention, the observation groups post-traumatic stress disorder civilian version scale (PCL-C) total score, increased alertness, avoidance of symptoms, repeated recurring reactions, total score of self-perceived burden scale, physical burden of care, economic burden, emotional The scores of burden, family burden, social burden, and psychological burden were all lower than those of the control group. The total scores of the Chinese version of the Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), interpersonal relationships, new possibilities, personal strength, mental changes, and appreciation of life scores were higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: Focusing on short-term group intervention can effectively reduce the burden of the main caregivers of cerebral palsy patients and post-traumatic stress disorder, and promote their post-traumatic growth.
