[Abstract] Objective To explore the intervention effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on diabetes complicated with depression. Methods Seventy patients with diabetes and depression in our hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups using the number table method. Both groups were given basic care, the control group was given routine psychological care, and the observation group was given cognitive behavioral therapy. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and the Self-Rating Depression Scale (HAMD) were evaluated in the two groups before and after nursing. The fasting blood glucose (FBG) and 2h postprandial blood glucose (2hPG) before and after nursing were detected. Results After nursing, the HAMA scores and HAMD scores in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before nursing, and the two scores in the observation group after nursing were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After nursing, FBG and 2hPG in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before nursing, and the two indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group after nursing (P<0.05). Conclusion Cognitive behavioral therapy can significantly reduce anxiety and depressive negative emotions in patients with diabetes and depression, and help control blood sugar levels.
