[Abstract] Objective: To explore the impact of high-quality nursing combined with psychological care on the psychological, emotional, and quality of life of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods: A total of 90 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were selected from Jiangsu Provincial Peoples Hospital and Nanjing Red Cross Hospital from February 2019 to December 2021. They were randomly divided into a control group (45 cases, receiving routine care) and an observation group (45 cases, receiving high-quality care and psychological intervention),; Observe and compare negative emotions, psychological resilience, quality of life, and patient satisfaction between the two groups. Results: After intervention, the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) in both groups decreased, with the observation group having a lower score (P<0.05); After intervention, the scores of the psychological resilience scale (CD-RISC) increased in both groups, with the observation group having a higher score (P<0.05); After intervention, the quality of life scores of both groups showed varying degrees of increase, and the observation group showed a greater increase than the control group (P<0.05); The satisfaction of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of high-quality nursing and psychological care for elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can actively improve negative emotions, enhance psychological resilience, and play a positive role in improving their quality of life, achieving satisfactory nursing outcomes.
