【Abstract】 Objective To explore the relationship between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals.Methods From February 2021 to June 2022, 150 nurses from the infection department of a grassroots hospital in a certain district of our city were selected as the research subjects. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 150 nurses in the department of infectious diseases, including the Occupational Stress Inventory (OSI-R) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores, and comparisons were made with domestic norms; Analyze the correlation between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals.Results The total scores of occupational tasks and individual stress reactions of nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals were higher than the domestic norm, while the total scores of individual coping styles were lower than the domestic norm, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The PSQI scores of nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals were higher than the domestic norm, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After correlation analysis, there was a positive correlation between occupational tasks and daytime dysfunction (P<0.05); Individual tension response was negatively correlated with sleep efficiency and sleep duration (P<0.05), and positively correlated with sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction, and hypnotic drugs (P<0.05); Individual coping styles were negatively correlated with sleep quality, sleep efficiency, sleep time, sleep onset time, sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction, and hypnotic drugs (P<0.05).Conclusion There is a certain correlation between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of basic hospitals, and the two interact with each other. Active intervention measures can be taken to improve their sleep quality and alleviate occupational stress.
