[Abstract] Objective: To explore the effect of humanistic care on the psychological emotion, sleep quality and life quality of elderly patients with Multiple myeloma undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: From January 2019 to December 2022, the hospital case data were collected and filed. The subjects were the elderly patients with Multiple myeloma undergoing chemotherapy. A total of 100 patients were included. Based on the "random number table method", they were divided into the control group and the observation group. 50 patients were included in both groups, and were given routine care and routine care+humanistic care care, respectively; Observe and compare negative emotions, Psychological resilience, sleep quality and quality of life. Results: After intervention, the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) in both groups decreased to varying degrees, and the observed group showed a greater decrease than the control group (P<0.05); After the intervention, the scores of the Psychological resilience scale (CD-RISC) in both groups increased, and those in the observation group were higher (P<0.05); After treatment, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05); After intervention, both groups showed varying degrees of improvement in the quality of life assessment questionnaire (GQOL1-74) scores, and the observation group showed a greater increase than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Humanistic care for elderly patients with Multiple myeloma undergoing chemotherapy can effectively improve their anxiety, depression and other negative emotions, improve their Psychological resilience, maintain a positive and optimistic psychological state, and improve their sleep status to ensure a good quality of life.
