Abstract Objective:To explore the effect of Peiyuan Ditan Kaiyu Recipe combined with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on binding globin (Hp) and microRNA-30a-5p (miR-30a-5p) in patients with post-stroke depression. Methods: 96 patients with post-stroke depression admitted to Dandong Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group with 48 cases each. The control group was treated with transcranial direct current stimulation, while the observation group was treated with Peiyuan Ditan Kaiyu Formula. The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results: The total clinical effective rate of the observation group (93.75% vs 79.19%) was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the observation group showed a more significant decrease in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) scores after treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the relative expression levels of Hp and miR-30a-5p in the observation group decreased more significantly after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Peiyuan Ditan Kaiyu Formula and tDCS can improve the clinical efficacy of post-stroke depression patients, reduce serum Hp levels and the relative expression of miR-30a-5p, and improve the level of inflammation in the body.
