Objective To explore and analyze the influence of 5E rehabilitation nursing program on type 2 diabetes patients. Methods From January 2023 to January 2024, 102 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received a 5E rehabilitation nursing plan. Blood glucose indicators, self-management ability, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in blood glucose index and self-management ability between the two groups before the intervention, P>0.05. After the intervention, the blood glucose index of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the self-management ability score was higher than that of the control group, P<0.05. In terms of quality of life, the observation group was better than the control group, P<0.05. Conclusion 5E rehabilitation nursing program can significantly improve the blood glucose index and self-management ability of patients with type 2 diabetes, and ensure the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of patients.
