This article reviews the hotspots and trends in pain management after colorectal surgery. After the popularization of minimally invasive surgery, postoperative pain management has become crucial. The research focuses on the uniqueness of pain after minimally invasive surgery, involving pain identification, personalized pain management plans, and efficacy evaluation. Minimally invasive surgical pain requires fine individualized care, with hot topics including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative technique optimization, postoperative multimodal analgesia, and exploration of non pharmacological analgesia. Multi mode analgesia strategy combined with various means to comprehensively control pain. In the future, pain management will tend towards individualization, precision, and humanization, utilizing technologies such as genomics to achieve precise pain relief and intelligent healthcare to enhance convenience. Non pharmacological pain relief such as virtual reality and music therapy will be valued, and interdisciplinary collaboration will drive innovation and development.
