Objective To analyze the impact of multidisciplinary nursing model on the self-care ability and quality of life of patients with lower respiratory tract infection after laryngeal cancer surgery. Methods 80 patients with postoperative lower respiratory tract infections of laryngeal cancer admitted to our hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were divided into two groups based on computer sorting: an odd numbered control group of 40 cases with conventional nursing mode and an even numbered observation group of 40 cases with multidisciplinary nursing mode. The self-care ability scores (ESCA) and quality of life scores (SF-36) of the two groups were evaluated. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had higher scores in ESCA (self-concept, self-care skills, self-care responsibility, etc.) and SF-36 (physiological function, social function, psychological state, etc.), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The multidisciplinary nursing model is more effective for postoperative lower respiratory tract infections in patients with laryngeal cancer, which can improve their self-care ability, enhance their quality of life, and has high application and promotion value.
