Objective To analyze the effect of nursing intervention in patients with spinal cord fractures on their negative mood and quality of life. Methods 70 patients with spinal fracture and spinal cord injury treated by surgery in our hospital from December 2022 to December 2023,35 patients receiving perioperative care were selected as the control group, 35 patients who received perioperative care intervention were the observation group, comparing the negative mood [self-rating scale of depression (SDS), self-rating scale of anxiety (SAS)] score and quality of life [quality of life determination scale (QLQ-C30)]. Results (1) after the nursing, the SDS and SAS scores of the observation group decreased significantly and were lower than that of the control group (P <0.05); (2) after the nursing, the scores of all dimension in the QLQ-C30 scale of the observation group were higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The implementation of nursing services for patients with spinal fractures and spinal cord injury, when paying attention to patients needs and individual differences, the stabilization of patients mood and the improvement of patients quality of life in perioperative nursing, is worth promoting.
