Objective To explore the application effect of whole process nursing intervention in patients with acute pericardial tamponade during cardiac intervention. Methods Fifty patients who underwent cardiac intervention and developed acute pericardial tamponade in our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 25 patients in each group. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received full course nursing intervention. Compare the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores, Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores, incidence of complications, and satisfaction between two groups of patients. Results After intervention, the SAS score, SDS score, incidence of complications, and satisfaction of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Whole process nursing intervention can effectively improve the psychological state of patients with acute pericardial tamponade during cardiac intervention, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve patient satisfaction, which has a positive effect on patient recovery and treatment outcomes.
