Objective To analyze the medical value of applying systematic nursing interventions in the clinical nursing plan for periodontal health of orthodontic patients. Methods 120 orthodontic patients who visited the dental clinic of our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were included in the experimental study. Then, they were divided into a control group of 60 patients who received routine care before and after orthodontic treatment, and an observation group of 60 patients who received systematic care. The effectiveness of nursing was compared based on periodontal indicators, tooth aesthetics, bite force, and medical experience after nursing. Results After nursing, the observation group had better indicators such as gingival index and periodontal pocket probing depth compared to the control group, higher scores in tooth aesthetics, better bite force, and higher satisfaction with medical treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Systematic nursing intervention can improve the periodontal health of orthodontic patients, promote better tooth aesthetics and bite force, and provide a good medical experience.
