Objective This study aims to explore the clinical characteristics and nursing conditions of diabetic foot patients, and to analyze the impact of different nursing strategies on patient prognosis, in order to provide scientific basis and practical guidance for the clinical care of diabetic foot. Methods 80 patients with diabetic foot treated in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 40 patients in each group. Patients in the observation group received comprehensive care intervention, including glycaemic control, wound management, psychological support and lifestyle adjustment, while the control group received routine care to assess wound healing, pain score, quality of life score and complication rate before and after care. Results After the intervention, the wound healing rate of patients in the observation group was higher than the control group (P <0.05), and the pain score and quality of life score were better than the control group (P <0.05). In addition, the complication rate was lower in the observation group than in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing interventions can effectively promote the wound healing, reduce pain, improve the quality of life, and reduce the incidence of complications, which should be used in clinical practice.
